About Us
Sara Maffey is the principal of Here Anywhere. She is a placemaker, innovator and strategist. Sara’s background is rooted in urban design, economic development and commercial real estate. She is recognized as a thought leader on the future of work and has led video series, podcasts, webinars, panels and keynotes on this topic.
Through Here Anywhere, Sara works with clients to create ecosystems within assets by curating the tenant mix, architectural design, marketing and branding, and programming to deliver a sense of place and experience that drives social connectivity and business value for tenants, landlords and their communities. She is a certified yoga teacher, loves to travel internationally, and is passionate about local makers - as evidenced by localhippo.
An overview of Sara’s career highlights include an honors thesis on placemaking along the lower East River while studying architecture and urban design at NYU, working in construction management in NYC, an MBA from Yale University, serving as a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of Commerce, leading economic recovery efforts in New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy, and transitioning to the commercial real estate side of the built environment through site selection, workplace strategy and placemaking work at Cushman & Wakefield, Edgewood Strategies, Transwestern and Here Anywhere.
